Can we combine the intention for fasting? Syawal and qadha or Syawal and Monday, Thursday and other?

Answer: Assalamualaikum Brother,

It is not correct to combine the qadaa fasts of Ramadan with the six days of Shawwal fasts because a person should complete the fasts of Ramadan before beginning the six of Shawwal, which are separate fasts altogether.

And it is permissible to fast the six days of Shawwal to coincide being on Mondays and Thursdays with the intention of getting reward for both.
