They, like the young Moses nearby, chose obedience of Allah and what pleases Him the most, knowing little that Allah was to chose as husband for one of the two girls a tall, strong, faithful, handsome man who one day would be one of the five greatest Prophets of all time – Moses (pbuh)! Their marriage thereafter was a truly model marriage.
Its the choices we make in matters of piety that have the greatest impact on who we find for marriage and how much pleasure and fulfilment we find once we are married, as is apparent from the marriage of Prophet Musa (a.s).
Who amongst us then would not like our marriage to be like theirs, surely we all would!
